The Good Food Ireland Reviews in 2018
Three centuries of hospitality reside in these walls. The oldest part of the pub is just inside the front door, a cosy snug with a few tables, open fireplace and original flagstone floor. The main bar is home to traditional Irish music and dance on several evenings each week. Larkin’s food is legendary.
Larkins Bar: It’s worth making the drive out from Nenagh to Garrykennedy to visit this picturesque little pub on the banks of Lough Derg. The village location is as typical and idyllic Irish scene as any you’ll see. Larkin’s, owned by Cormac and Maura Boyle, is over 300 years old and just the sort of country pub you want to find when you come to Ireland. This place is one of those rare gems.

Tripadvisor Ireland Reviews
Real Ireland and real peopleWe had a “Pig on a spit” night at Larkins on a Friday night in late September 2017, it was the first night of a wedding weekend. 50/50 split between locals and Welsh friends. As usual Maura, Cillian, Muireann and staff were excellent making sure that everyone was welcomed and looked after for the whole night. Locals got what the always get, a great night, at Larkins and the Welsh lot want to come back again. The food was really good and lots of it. All had a great craic. We live locally to Larkins and are always looked after very well and always made to feel welcome. Thanks to all at Larkins for a fabulous night.
